January 22, 1949 ~ February 8, 2018
Robert David Child lost his battle with cancer on February 8, 2018. He was born January 22, 1949, the son of Leo and Edris Child and is survived by his wife, Betty of Port Orchard, WA; one daughter, Jennifer Child (Gloria); and son, Joshua Child. He is also survived by his siblings: Arlene Tronier (Roland), Elsie Child, Duane (Jeanene), Mary Reed, Carl (Vickie), Diane Voigt (Robert), Colleen Clark (Jim), and Nancy Imlay (Mark). He has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bobby or Bobby D, as he was known to his siblings, lived life to the fullest. He had hundreds of stories of his adventures and escapades and could mesmerize a group as he told the stories. We applaud his lifelong pursuit of happiness and rejoice knowing that we are better people because he crossed our paths.
He was the epitome of non-judgment and always believed in helping others. He ran a construction company in Washington, and loved the outdoors, animals, and his large family. He fell in love with Betty and they were married. They lived on a beautiful farm in the countryside of Washington. He was a member of the LDS Church. We will dearly miss his charismatic personality, sparkling blue eyes, and smiling face.
A Celebration of Life for Robert (Bobby) David Child will be held at a graveside service on April 21, 2018, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. MST.
Funeral services were previously held in Gig Harbor, Washington, on February 23, 2018, where family and friends conducted and participated in a formal setting. Celebration of Life services and grave dedication will be held in Utah, at the Clinton Cemetery located at: 813 North 750 West, Clinton, UT.
