On December 27, 1952, two crazy kids from Southern Utah decided to elope. At just 16 and 19 years old, they began their journey together and were later sealed in the Manti Temple. In 2002, at their 50th Anniversary celebration they renewed their vows, this time with their loved ones gathered around.

S.D. worked hard to provide for his family and eventually earned a degree from Weber State University. He retired from the Air Force and Dorothy retired from the Davis County Recorder's Office.

Their greatest treasures are their five children and spouses, along with 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
