Happy 50th Anniversary!: Edward and Carolyn Glade

Edward and Carolyn Glade of West Point celebrated their 50th anniversary with their family, in Midway on Friday.

They were married December 15, 1967, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Edward graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City. He served an LDS mission to the Northwestern States Mission. He attended the University of Utah for four years and later graduated from Troy State University. He served in the US Air Force for almost 30 years, he served a tour at Phan Rang Air Base in Vietnam in 1970.

Carolyn was born in southern Alabama and graduated from J.U. Blacksher High School in Uriah, Alabama. She moved to Utah in 1966 and met Edward at Glade Candy Co. in Salt Lake. She loves family history and temple work. She is an avid gardener, she loves to cook for her family and friends. She loves to be always learning, especially history. Carolyn and Ed served a humanitarian mission to the Hopi and Navajo to teach them how to grow productive gardens at their homes.

They have six children: Jared (Shauna), Jason (Cindy), Melodie (Rich) Moore, Charity (Brook) Williams, Nathan (Debbie), and Matthew.

They have 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. There's one on the way.
